Pure Hair is a term we use a lot on our Instagram page.
It’s a bit of a play on words.
We wrote it on flyers and branded it online when we started using an ammonia-free colour system. It seemed an appropriate term now that our salon was free of that chemical smell. Our hairdressing approach was more pure.
I started saying it years before when referring to anything, that, was very good. That’s pure brilliant. Pure brilliant hair. I just dropped the brilliant part.
It’s stuck ever since. Real People… PURE HAIR.
I thought that phrase was a perfect fit for this new body of
work.
Hair in its most simple form. Wet… positioned… shot… repositioned… shot. Over and over.
Pure hair… No styling… Simple make-up and beautifully shot.
This is the third project we have done since the end of the first lockdown. Like most creative people I know lockdown took its toll. I had loads of ideas during this period but for the next few years after I just couldn’t get motivated enough to pursue them.
Those days are hopefully behind us.
We don’t always post our creative images on our salon page but you can find them @fabrik_hair_ultras.
